Branding

Branding Methods — Heat Transfer, Silicone, Embroidery & Labels

Choose the method on the brief. Confirm MOQ and sampling checks before PPS.

Branding is chosen on the brief — not assumed. Each method changes artwork lead time, setup cost and sometimes MOQ. Library private-label programmes typically start from 150 pcs per style/color; specialty branding is confirmed before PPS.

Method

Heat transfer

Film or digital heat-transfer logos and marks on knits and stretch wovens.

  • MOQ implicationUsually within library MOQ when artwork is locked early; multi-position or oversized transfers may add setup or colour-separations.
  • Sampling checksWash/peel adhesion on the approved fabric; edge sharpness; stretch recovery under the mark; colour match to brand PMS/lab dip.
Method

Silicone print

Raised silicone logos, badges and grip prints for training and athleisure.

  • MOQ implicationScreen/setup fees and colour count often drive MOQ above basic print; small colour runs may need shared screens or higher unit cost.
  • Sampling checksHeight and edge definition; wash adhesion; hand-feel after cure; placement against stretch seams.
Method

Embroidery

Multi-head embroidery for crests, wordmarks and tonal logos on fleeces and structured knits.

  • MOQ implicationStitch count and hoop changes affect cost; dense logos on light GSM knits may need backing review before bulk MOQ is confirmed.
  • Sampling checksRegistration; puckering on stretch; density vs fabric; thread colour vs brand standard after wash.
Method

Woven labels

Main / size / care woven labels and loop labels at standard placements.

  • MOQ implicationCustom weaves have mill MOQs separate from garment MOQ; stock label blanks keep programmes closer to 150 pcs per style/color.
  • Sampling checksWeave density and colour; cut size; fold and sew placement; wash durability of ink/weave.
Method

Hangtags

Paper or mixed-material hangtags with string/fastener — brand story and SKU coding.

  • MOQ implicationPrint runs and special finishes (foil, soft-touch) have supplier MOQs; attach method must match bulk packing plan.
  • Sampling checksPrint colour; die-cut accuracy; string/fastener strength; barcode/QR readability if used.
Method

Care labels

Composition, care and origin labels to destination-market rules.

  • MOQ implicationUsually included in garment MOQ once content is approved; multi-language or multi-region packs may add SKUs.
  • Sampling checksFibre % accuracy; care symbols vs market; sew placement; wash durability of print.
Sampling

Approve branding on the remake, not on a mock-up alone

Artwork is locked before the manufacturing sample remake when possible. Placement, adhesion and wash behaviour are checked on the same fabric and construction as bulk. Changes after PPS reopen remake and may reset branding setup.
